There have been several reports of rattlesnakes in the community. The following is for your information and it is recommended that you research for more information regarding the topic.
Rattlesnakes are looking for food, water, and shelter when they enter your property. They will seek bushes, concrete, tall grass, and/or shade. Due to the heat of summer, the snakes are out looking for comfort. The community has lots of wild life, voles, mice, and rabbits. These examples are types of food for a rattlesnake.
Some rattlesnakes may be deterred by the use of squirting plain water or water mixed with Joy liquid soap. There is a product called Dr. T’s Snake Away that has been reported to work.
The State of Colorado says that if a rattle snake is on your property and is causing a life safety issue, you may kill it. If you do not want to approach the snake and want it removed, you must contact an animal pest control company that specializes in reptiles.
